Supported Living

At Anchor Support Group, we provide high-quality Supported Living accommodation for young people and adults who are ready to take their next steps towards independence.

Our homes are designed to be safe, nurturing, and empowering — giving residents a sense of belonging while helping them develop the skills and confidence to live independently.

We support individuals with a wide range of needs, including care leavers, young people with SEND or autism, and those requiring emotional, behavioural, or mental health support.

Supported Living for Young People (Ages 16–18)

A Home That Feels Safe and Supportive

Each of our homes accommodates only two to three residents, creating a family-style atmosphere where young people receive individual attention and consistency of care.
Our experienced staff provide 24-hour supervision, ensuring safety, emotional support, and practical guidance are always available.

We foster an environment where young people can make mistakes safely, learn from them, and grow with confidence.

Our Support Includes:

  • 24-hour staffing and daily check-ins to maintain safety, structure, and emotional support.

  • Personalised key-work sessions focused on mental health, self-esteem, and personal development.

  • Life-skills coaching, including budgeting, cooking, cleaning, self-care, and tenancy management.

  • Education, training, and employment planning, helping young people enrol in college, apprenticeships, or part-time work.

  • Access to community activities that build social skills, resilience, and a sense of belonging.

  • Close collaboration with social workers, leaving-care teams, schools, and local authorities to ensure coordinated, consistent support.

  • Health and wellbeing oversight, including access to GPs, therapy, and mental health professionals when required.

Empowering Independence Through Trust and Consistency

Every young person is treated as an individual with potential, not a placement.
Our staff take time to build trusting relationships, using trauma-informed approaches that recognise past experiences and promote healing.

We work alongside each resident to develop a Personal Independence Plan, setting realistic goals for housing, education, health, and emotional wellbeing. Progress is reviewed regularly in partnership with their social worker or personal adviser.

Preparing for Adulthood

By the time a young person leaves our service, they will have gained not only essential life skills but also the confidence, stability, and self-belief to sustain independence.
Many of our residents transition successfully into their own tenancies, supported lodgings, or further education with our continued guidance and aftercare check-ins.

Our team — made up of social workers, mental health nurses, teachers, and experienced key workers — ensures that every young person’s journey is planned with diligence, delivered with care, and focused on lasting success.

 Supported Living for Adults (18+)

Our 18+ supported living homes are designed for adults who require ongoing care, structure, or low-level support to live safely and independently within the community.
This includes individuals with learning disabilities, autism, mental-health needs, or a history of care involvement.

Our support includes:

  • Tailored, outcome-focused support plans

  • Daily living assistance and tenancy sustainment

  • Support with appointments, medication, and budgeting

  • Access to education, volunteering, or employment opportunities

  • Ongoing emotional and wellbeing support

We work with local authorities, mental-health services, and families to ensure a joined-up approach that promotes independence while maintaining safety and dignity.
